Try to think about something else.

I go for long walks, read books by inspirational author like Paulo Coelho or, on rare occasions, I take myself away from it all, go to the cinema, see a good film while pigging out on snacks. Razz I don't make a habit of that last one though and because I don't I often come away feeling a lot better. Smile

You missed out "Smile and the world smiles back at you".

Self loathing and physical exertion can some times help.

Might I also add...whatever you do to put a smile back on your face, do so without shame, guilt and always with commitment. No half baked ideas, otherwise you will always feel worse for not sticking it through. When that happens you are always tempted to compare it with any other failures in life. Always see through what you intend to do to make yourself feel better. Never say, ooh I might do this or that today.

I wasn't like this before, but now I cry it all out. Smile I feel a whole lot better after, though. After that I usually go to the gym and work out for hours. Sometimes, I just stroll around the mall and go shopping. Other times I eat out with my friends. If I'm really down, I go on a road trip.

I usually do things that I enjoy to boost my spirit. I listen to music...watch a good DVD...go for a walk every day (sometimes it's hard to motivate myself to do that). I used to be on anti-depressants. I don't want to get that bad again..so I'll be very interested to read how others deal with the blues.
